Sensible Residential Development

Adding more homes to Perth will increase our tax base and could ensure a greater range of housing options, including affordable housing, is available. The now conceptually approved development on the Perth Golf Course by CAIVAN is a massive project being imposed on our community through the Ontario Land Tribunal.

What Can We Do?

• As a town councilor I will seek out every opportunity and point of leverage to try to mitigate the negative impacts of this development on our town and the environment.

• We can hold CAIVAN accountable to meeting all of the commitments made through the Ontario Land Tribunal.

• We can work with other municipalities to restore local control over major developments.

• I will seek out and promote more sustainable models of community development that we can aspire to.
